Calgary, Alberta, April 25, 2018 – StoreSmart Self-Storage today announced its annual donation of more than $1,800 in support of local animal welfare organizations, representing 2017 proceeds from the company’s “You Rent, We Donate” campaign.

“Beginning in 2014, StoreSmart Self-Storage has been donating one dollar from every rental at each of its locations to that store’s local SPCA or Humane Society. To date, we have raised more than $7000 in support of the Bow Valley SPCA, the Cochrane & Area Humane Society, the Central Alberta Humane Society, and the Edmonton Humane Society,” said Kim Sterling, President & Chief Operating Officer of StoreSmart Self-Storage. “Our staff and management always look forward to the annual cheque presentations, which are a lot of fun as we get to visit with some of our furry friends,” she added.

StoreSmart Self-Storage also collects in-store donations on behalf of these organizations and provides storage space as needed. The company is currently donating storage space to the Bow Valley SPCA and the Central Alberta Humane Society.

“The Bow Valley SPCA depends on community support to fulfill our visions – Make a Difference, Change Lives. We are extremely grateful to StoreSmart Self-Storage for their donation of both funds and storage space, in support of our no kill, no cage mission,” said Joseph Potts, Director of the Bow Valley SPCA.

SPCAs and Humane Societies help sick, injured, neglected or abused animals by rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing them. They provide medical treatments and educate adults and children about responsible pet ownership.
